A faint vibration while the printer sits idle — the manual likens it to tinnitus — is normal and needs no action. Only a louder or different noise points to a board.

Check the Firmware First

For three faults the manual points at firmware or the print file before the board:

• Printer not printing continuously — incorrect firmware on the main side is listed ahead of the main board
• Extra media fed after a print — test with a different file first. If other data prints correctly, the fault is the damaged file, not the printer
• Garbled data or printing — firmware is the only cause listed; the main board is not named at all

Confirm your firmware version before ordering a board. If the cause is firmware, a new board will not fix it.
