The service manual lists the capping station on the ink-charge fault with only the cap head named ahead of it. An assembly that cannot hold a seal leaves the pump drawing air rather than ink.

Rule out the cap head first — it is the cheaper part and the manual names it ahead of the station. Check that the assembly rises freely and seats square against the nozzle face.
