    Check the Firmware First

    The manual points at firmware before the board on three faults:

    • Not printing continuously — firmware listed ahead of the board
    • Extra media fed — firmware listed ahead of the board
    • Garbled output — firmware is the only cause listed

    Check your firmware version first. If that is the cause, a new board will not fix it.
